History

1959 - 1980
Founded in 1959 by Armanda Moreira da Silva, Armasil began her activity in the handcrafted production of small leather goods in leather.
Producing small quantities in an exiguous factory with just 5 employees.
In 1976 the 3 sons of Mrs. Armanda Moreira da Silva entered into the society.

 

1981 - 1989

In 1981 the youngest son of Mrs. Armanda Moreira da Silva, Mr. José Silva and his wife, became the only owners. Since then they give a new dynamic to the enterprise enlarging the number of national clients and starting with the internationalization of the enterprise.
All the decade of the eighties long the enterprise consolidates her position in the national market becoming a reference in her activity branch.

 

1990 - 1998

During the nineties the combination of factors like creativity and innovation melt into a permanent search of quality, the distinct element of the brand.
The offer of products grows in a exponential way and nowadays has a collection of about 500 pieces.
The visibility of the brand internationally goes through the participation in professional fairs in great capitals like: Milan, Paris, Frankfurt, Hong-Kong and Montreal.

 

1998 - 2006

In late nineties the enterprise decides to enlarge her business area getting into a new business, the distribution, becoming exclusive representative of several brands of international fame entering into partnerships with great Italian groups of fashion business.
Of late years the entering of the third generation to the enterprise has contributed with new ideas particularly into the strategic and organized innovation and to the management of new brands of the international market.

 

2007

Armasil accepts the challenge by a prestigious international brand and expand its business area and begin to produce for other brands and internationally renowned fashion designers .

2008

The enterprise renew her image based on her philosophy of quality with particular attention to the fashion trends, but without renouncing the school of traditional leather goods in which Armasil has her roots and with them identifies her own excellence.

 

2009

Armasil celebrates her 50th anniversary.

 

2011

Renews its website and decides to innovate by creating an online store of their branded products Armasil and other international brands in this way creates a new business area that allows to Armasil the direct contact with the consumer.
